David started Kindergarten today. He is going to one of the best schools in the county. It is actually a magnet school that focuses on Arts and Communication. Not quite sure what that means for kindergartners but I hope he gets introduced to instruments a little earlier than normal. I am excited to see how well he does in the more structured environment and also for the first parent-teacher conference (where I hope to learn how he does in a school environment and where he stands compared to his peers). David has been very excited about kindergarten and I can't wait to hear him talk all about it this afternoon.
David with his book bag! Good first day of Kindergarten shot.

David and Mommy before we walked to school. I LOVE that we live so close to school that we can walk in the mornings.

Just another shot of him in his classroom. He had just picked out his lunch for the day (turkey sandwich). He is going to eat in the cafeteria every day because it is super cheap and because mom is tired of making lunches every day (like I had to for preschool).

David the Abominable Snowman
David went to Snowmass Colorado with his dad and his family. They signed David up for ski school b/c everyone says three year olds pick it up so fast, he'll have a blast. David was way too distracted by those humongous mountains and the fact that there was white stuff falling from the sky. He enjoyed sledding and making snow balls and other great winter stuff but could have cared less about skiing. He also had a BLAST hanging out with the family, especially his uncle ("and friend") Kevin. Aah the wonders of snow....
First day, absolutely enamored with the snow and all the sights, here checking out the Gondolas.
He loved making snow balls
I'm pretty sure he had fun with this but looks ready to go inside to me!
Digging a "snow tunnel"
Tuckered out on the couch after Ski School
I mean, seriously, who doesn't get a frozen smoothie when its snowing outside! He loves those things!

Merry Christmas Y'all! Santa came a couple days early because David is actually going to be in Colorado skiing with Daddy and his family on Christmas day. So we wrote Santa a letter and asked if he'd come a couple days early. So David woke up this morning and Santa had brought him a lot of presents. We had a great morning and David is a happy boy. Mom got a new laptop so you should be seeing updates a little more often. including a big one soon with a bunch of pictures taken since August. My old computer just did not want to upload pictures to blogger...but now I can so hopefully I will do it more. Merry Christmas to all our family and friends. We love you!
